Worth every penny!

Amazing. The people who are saying it doesn’t drain are crazy. You must have other obstructions in your line, because this drains very well. Make sure you insert below the lip of the length and the trap seal is located towards the bottom. No smell that I can notice. This is a life saver for sure and definitely easier than digging up a concrete slab to put a trap in.

All in all a nifty gadget but could use improvements

As many reviews note this device does not work well unless inserted at least a few inches into the drain pipe. It works better the deeper it is inserted. I’m somewhat worried about inserting it deep into the pipe because what if it slips and falls more and causes a clog and becomes stuck? They need to include a stainless steel tether which attaches to your drain bolts via a washer. This would allow someone to insert this thing 6″+ without fear of losing it forever.

This product is awesome. We have an issue with our garage floor drain we have not been able to address just yet and we have been have major issues with sewer gas smell. Bad enough it was starting to cause headaches within our home. The moment I put this thing it the smell was gone. It has been a week and we have not even had the slightest hint of sewer gas smell. I would absolutely buy this again if needed and would highly recommend it!

Saved my sanity and personal hygiene

I’m renting a house with terrible old plumbing and since I moved in I’ve avoided taking a shower as much as possible because the smell from the drain makes me want to vomit. I have to keep the bathroom door closed and the window open while in there all the time because it smells like sewer. I’ve tried drain cleaner, mold remover, everything. Popped this bad boy in the drain, pushed it down about an inch like other reviews said and took my first smell free shower in 3 months. In the summer I had issues with cockroaches coming up through the drain and drain flies also. Problems solved. Best money I’ve spent in a long time. Time to order one for the guest bath also.

Works amazing

My shower has no water trap for what ever reason and the nasty septic / sewer smells would fill the room. This waterless trap seal works fantastic and the smells are 100% gone. There is no back flow or slow down of water draining either. I pushed the unit down the drain pipe several inches so water could build up on it down in the pipe which makes the flap open more and ensures, even shower on max, you’ll never have any pooling or delay in draining of water. I highly recommend.

AMAZING product – saved me huge amounts of money!

We had a 2″ drain that was just horrendous with a sewer gas issue. The space was commercial, and had been vacant for years. Obviously the trap had dried out, and adding water and oil as advised by a plumber had little effect – we tried so many drain cleaners, a snake, anything to kill the odor – nothing worked. It was turning my customers off because the smell would leave the bathroom and into the main training area (in our martial arts school). I was at the end of my rope and about to concede to having the concrete jack hammered up and the drain and trap replaced – until I found this product. For $20 bucks my problem is gone, no smell what so ever – I couldn’t be happier, just wish I knew about this product from the get go!

Solved a problem!

I had sewer gas coming out of a basement drain that has no trap. Old house with old plumbing. Plumber wanted $$$$$$ to dig up the concrete floor and install a new drain. Thought I’d try this gadget first. So relieved that it solved the problem! The lower fins are soft rubber so it sealed the corroded old cast iron pipe just fine. Water still goes down and the gas does not come up. Don’t know how long it will last but I can buy a lot of them for a lot less than the plumber.

Get rid of sewer smells asap.

Have been battling smelly fumes from our furnace room floor drain for several months. We have been adding water to the trap each day for several weeks, still had the fumes. Within 3-4 hours of placing the sure seal into the cleaned out drain – the smell is completely gone. I hope it lasts for several years, it certainly did work as advertised. Could not be happier with the absence of sewer smell.

Simple installation and works great!

We had a problem with the sour smell that comes from the shower drain. We installed this and it fixed it immediately. Installation was simple, just a few screws removed the drain cover, then we made sure to push it into the drain about 5 inches. We found that if the plug was too shallow (1-2 inches) it would not open and drain well, and there would be a puddle in the shower. After we moved it down to 5 inches it seemed to open correctly when showering and close perfectly to keep the bad smells out.

Working well in my shower so far

I was tired of my shower’s p-trap letting gases up in to the bathroom, so I thought I’d try this as a cheaper solution than dealing with whatever plumbing problem is causing that. The stinky gases have stopped coming up, but I was worried that it might not let the water flow down as fast as the shower head puts it out, but it works just fine as long as you push it about 2 to 3 inches down in to the drain (use needle nose plier to grab the top and adjust its position). If you position it right, you won’t be standing in a puddle as you shower. It gets five stars from me for now, but only time will tell if this item works for me in the longer term. I have no idea yet what effect normal showering will have on it, or how often my wife’s long hair will clog this up.
