Installed this 4 Inch G Green Drain Waterless Trap Seal on the basement floor drain and it fit snug enough to create a very good seal. Installation was easy and only involved cleaning the drain openning and pushing the trap into place. The problem it resolved is that the tile drain from the early fifties has developed a small crack on the far side of the P-trap making difficult to permanently patch it. The water level in the drain trap would gradually drop and allow sewer gasses to enter. I’ve never used one of these before so I guess I’ll call it a test run for the time being.

I have a drain pipe in my basement that doesn’t have a p-trap on it. So sewer gases can come up freely. This was a breeze to install, just set it into the drain pipe and push until its snug. I haven’t smelled sewer gases once since I installed it 4 months ago.

Worked! I have a deep well basement window with a 4″ drain and the radon levels were the highest next to that window. I tried everything to insulate with foam and caulk around that slider window. When I added this valve to the 4″ drain pipe the readings on my radon meter dropped all the way down to lows of 1.32pci from highs of 6.70pci. Radon can fluctuate so I will continue to monitor but I have never seen such low readings that I have now. Thank you!

Recently purchased a flipped house. Typical for corners to be cut in these types of houses. No exceptions made for this one. The shower in one of the bathrooms was a new addition and they ‘forgot’ about certain building codes, such as acceptable water traps on drains to prevent the back flow of sewer gas from coming through. Well this little plug has been working wonders. There’s no reduction in drainage and the smell is gone. Certainly will recommend to anyone that has a similar problem.

We have a floor drain in our basement that is prone to backing up and flooding. It drains our kitchen area and I think the horizontal pipe is maybe slightly flat so if the lines gets gunked up which seems to happen frequently we get a back up until I can go clear the line. The floor drain in our basement is also the drain for our sump pump and this allows water to pass through it while keeping backflow out of the basement. I can tell when the line gets clogged as our kitchen sinks will drain a bit slower and I can either auger it or put down some drain cleaner which will pass whatever is in there but we are no longer getting a back up into our basement which is great. It’s a bit expensive but worth the cost for the peace of mind.

Simple product that is easy to install and works well. No issues in the bathroom anymore. Not sure why it needs to be replaced every 6 months.

Happy with my purchase we’ve had it for about 3 weeks and so far no smell!! I wish I would’ve bought it sooner I live in a small space plumbing isn’t the best and the bathroom and bedroom are connected the smell coming out was.
